The Lux
Abstract
The Lux was a research project in collaboration with the GUII lab investigating the use of ARGs to measure complex psychological phenomena, such as resilience, in teams. An original ARG was developed for undergrads in UCSC, which was used for several studies. The ARG was iteratively developed to integrate into the campus and utilize its history as part of its narrative, and have players interact in teams on a Discord server, to solve puzzles together and in competition with other teams. The project received local news coverage.
